The Lion by peach The Lion by peach
well, my girl friend asked me to do something "traditional" for our living room... this is what came out ;-)

PS ~12 hours (repainted the clouds a couple of times)

This is brilliant! I love the colours and texture and those unique white markings upon the lions face. Well done!

Good work! This reminds me of Aslan looking over Narnia, with perhaps the painted ancient symbols indicating the deeper magic from before the dawn of time. Nice job on the lighting particularly.

Excellent work Peach. My fiance and I were just trying to figure out what to put over the bed as a headboard. We both came up with lions (female and male). He wants me to do the lion king for our grandbabies. I want to do real life lions to really showcase what I should be able to do. However, my mind is made up. I am going to try and do a real life lions. I am not that good yet. But I am diligently working on it. Especially now that I have the time in the evenings. Again excellent work. I wish you had a tutorial on it. Lol

hi pam, thank you for your kind words. just checked the psd of the lion - i still have some workfiles. could post 10-15 working steps if that helps...

in any case invest lots of time in research (anatomical, setting & scenary), that really pays off at the end. good luck and send a note when the pic is done!
